VIDEO
In today’s video, we will be providing an interactive guide on how to share your Outlook calendar.
Here at Supreme we find this particularly useful when booking onsite visits or arranging meetings, and it is especially handy to know if your work colleagues are available or not.
- Go to the calendar section in Outlook.
- Go to the top of the screen, there is an option to Share Calendar. If you click this you will be able to select which calendar you’d like to share.
- By default, your organisation is shown. You can choose permissions for this at the bottom. To add others, you can click on “Add”.
- A new window will show up. From here you can select someone from your address book, or enter the email address of the person you would like to share the calendar with. Once done, click “OK”.
- You can now set the permissions for this user, using the permissions settings on the main properties window. The permissions you can set for specific people are different from those that you can set for “My Organisation”.
- Now, for the user you shared the calendar with to add it to their Outlook, they can click “Add Calendar” and then “Open Shared Calendar”. They can then enter the email address of the user who has shared the calendar. You can also add a calendar from an address book, selecting it the same way as you would when you share a calendar.
- The calendar will now show in their Outlook.
