Our client, a well known Birmingham based family run recruitment agency approached Supreme Systems after winning a contract to supply temporary teaching staff for three major schools in the area. The business realised that in order to responsibly source, interview and recruit the right staff for positions they advertised, they had to ensure the right business processes were in place starting from efficiently managing their business data.

The Challenge

“The brief was simple” says Steve Palmer, Technical Services Director, Supreme Systems. “Our client wanted us to provide a solution by which they could actively store candidate and client information, provide them with a single access point from which they could share and access the data and also provide a solution whereby their data would be safely and securely stored and easily backed up. They also wanted the ability to be able to view and share each others Calendars, so it would be easier to see where each Recruitment Consultant was at any given time of the day.”

The Solution

After a full audit of their environment and analysis of the type of information collated by the business we were able to make the following recommendations:

• Upgrade their existing systems to Windows 7, a faster and more dynamic operating system than XP.

• Deploy Microsoft’s Dynamic CRM – a small business friendly Customer Relationship Management Software.

• Created a networked infrastructure which included a Small Business Server. This meant that users could easily share files and programmes and we also introduced a system of control whereby only certain users could access specific areas within the Server. Introducing the Server also allowed the users to view and share Calendars allowing for greater collaboration.

• Introduce Supreme Systems 999RESTORE – where we actively back up data on a weekly basis to our offsite secure data storage centre. This was an additional security measure to complement the removable backup device we had already implemented for them

“The customer went from storing their data within Outlook and on USB keys to having systems that would allow them to restore their information quickly if they ever suffered a major data loss” comments Steve Palmer, Technical Services Director, Supreme Systems. “By working closely with our client and listening to their needs we were able to implement strategies that immensely improved their business processes.”
